I am the mother of two beautiful boys and a crazy dog. I have an awesome, supportive husband who always picks me up when I have my “off days”. The idea for this blog came from the analysis of 3 different therapists. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) with high levels of anxiety. Not only has this affected my past actions and thoughts, but it also has affected my health. One day, I decided that enough is enough. It was time for me to start looking at things from a different perspective. That’s how I ran across the idea for Your Daily Shot of Inspiration.
I have been writing since I was eight years old. I used to write poetry to help me sort my feelings out. It has been a long journey of self-discovery for me. I have discovered so many things I would like to share with others who are either in the same situation as I am, or who just want to have something positive to read every day. I just did a recent overhaul on this blog. I decided that a shot is definitely what it should be: short, sweet, and to the point. I decided to use my insight from daily quotes I choose to build upon to help the reader see my views or how I perceive the quote. By doing this, I hope to help others understand life challenges in a different perspective, or even bring out some new ideas to help others see life in a more positive way.
